Béla Erdélyi Student Conference

On May 15, the Erdelyi Béla Student Conference was held for the fourth time, where graduating students of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts presented their scientific work and research.

Following the official part of the conference, the event continued at the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House, where participants took part in a guided tour and had the opportunity to learn more about the history and activities of the institution.

Before the award ceremony, the students were welcomed by the rector of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts, their teachers, and the director of the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House. This was followed by the awarding of the top three participants, as well as special prize recipients, after which the ceremony concluded with a standing reception.

One of the special highlights of the event was that participants had the opportunity to take photographs with the newest exhibit of the Béla Erdélyi Creative House’s museum collection—a recently discovered historical silver tray. The laurel-adorned, engraved tray was gifted by the children of Mihály and Ilona Erdélyi to their parents on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary in 1933. The names of all their children are engraved on the tray.
