We were delighted to host our 5th anniversary Hungarian as a Foreign Language Camp this year at the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House.
Throughout the camp, the children participated in engaging Hungarian language classes every morning, where they learned new vocabulary and expressions while developing their language proficiency and communication skills in a fun and interactive environment.
The afternoons were filled with a wide variety of hands-on activities and memorable experiences. Participants took part in station-based games, arts and crafts, T-shirt painting, and a range of sports and skill-building activities, including laser tag, archery, and Just Dance. They also learned Hungarian folk songs and enjoyed traditional folk dancing.
One of the highlights of the week was an excursion to Verkhnia Hrabivnytsia, where the children visited the historic Árpád Line bunker. The day continued with group games, face painting, and roasting marshmallows together.
The camp concluded with a festive gala performance, during which the children proudly presented what they had learned and the performances they had prepared throughout the week. Following the presentation of certificates of participation, everyone gathered to enjoy the anniversary cake, bringing to a fitting close a rewarding week full of learning, friendship, and unforgettable experiences.
