Musical performance by Kamilla Dévai Nagy

We warmly welcomed everyone to the first joint event of the year organized by the Munkácsi Magyar Egylet and the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House — a concert combined with a book presentation by Liszt Prize-winning performer Kamilla Dévai Nagy, titled Akit az Isten meghagyott (“Whom God Has Spared”).

During the evening, folk songs, musical settings of poems, and excerpts from the artist’s autobiographical volume were performed. Through these, we were able to gain insight not only into her artistic world but also into the defining moments of her life.

We are deeply grateful to Kamilla Dévai Nagy for accepting our invitation and for gifting us this unforgettable experience, filling us with her inspiring and positive presence.

We are delighted that so many of us gathered together and could laugh, cry, and sing as one.
