On September 10, Petrusevics Vivien-Nikolett’s first solo exhibition, entitled “Becoming”, opened at the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House. The young artist, who was born in Munkács, presented her works independently for the first time. The exhibition also marks an important milestone in Vivien-Nikolett’s professional journey, as she has now been working as a cultural manager at the Hungarian House for one year.

The opening ceremony was addressed by József Tarpai, Director of the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House, who congratulated Vivien-Nikolett on her first solo exhibition and thanked her for her dedicated work over the past year.

Consul Bence Gombor, representing the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhhorod, also welcomed the guests.

“I hope that in the coming years, following this period of becoming, we will also have the opportunity to be part of exhibitions entitled ‘Unfolding’ and ‘Blooming’.”

Attila Kopriva, President of the Association for the Art and Culture of the Carpathians, shared personal memories and wished the artist continued success.

“Becoming” presents Vivien-Nikolett’s artistic journey, from her early works to her most recent creations. The exhibition features paintings, traditional and digital illustrations, as well as her series entitled “Human Traces”, which she began in 2026 and which draws attention to ecological problems caused by human activity.

The exhibition opening took place in a warm, family-like atmosphere. The exhibition can be visited at the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House until October 10, 2026.
