"Lover of the Carpathians" – Memorial Exhibition in Honor of Anton Sepa

Today, the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House officially opened the memorial exhibition "Lover of the Carpathians", dedicated to the memory of Anton Sepa, Merited Artist of Ukraine.

During the opening ceremony, József Tarpai, Director of the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House, and Bence Gombor, Consul of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhhorod, emphasized the importance of Transcarpathia's cultural life and the value of strengthening cultural ties.

Borys Kuzma and Péter Földessy, Distinguished Artists of Ukraine, shared personal memories and stories that brought visitors closer to Anton Sepa's personality and artistic world.

Attila Kopriva, curator of the exhibition, also recalled the artist through personal anecdotes while presenting insights into Sepa's artistic legacy and creative achievements.

A special feature of the exhibition is that, alongside the paintings, visitors can also view Anton Sepa's sketches, studies, personal notes, photographs, and even his painter's easel. These personal belongings offer a unique glimpse into the artist's creative process and everyday life.

The atmosphere of the event was further enriched by the performance of the Csipkés Ensemble.

The exhibition will be open to visitors until the second week of September at the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House.
