We are delighted to share that the ceremonial opening of Borisz Kuzma’s solo exhibition, “The Geometry of Presence,” was successfully held at the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House.
The exhibition opening provided an opportunity to gain closer insight into the world of an artist who, over the decades, has shaped not only the field of fine arts but also cultural public life. Even the title of the exhibition – “The Geometry of Presence” – suggests a conceptual direction, drawing our attention to the subtle relationships between presence, space, and human perception.
The event was attended by numerous invited guests, artists, public figures, and visitors, who came together to celebrate the work of one of the outstanding representatives of contemporary Ukrainian fine art. The exhibition offers a unique glimpse into the artistic world of Borisz Kuzma, which has evolved over decades. His work is significant not only in Transcarpathia but also internationally, as his artworks have represented the region’s art at numerous exhibitions across Europe.
Welcoming speeches were delivered by József Tarpai, Director of the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House; Bence Gombor, Consul of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhhorod; Olekszander Mondics, artist and curator of the exhibition; Attila Kopriva, artist and associate professor; and Yevhen Tishchuk, Head of the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
Following this, Borisz Kuzma himself—head of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and Honored Artist of Ukraine—shared his thoughts with the audience and officially opened the exhibition.
The event concluded with a friendly informal gathering and a shared toast.
