Performance of “Gőgös Gúnár Gedeon” by the Veronaki Band

In Mukachevo, the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House hosted a guest performance from Hungary within the framework of the Déryné Programme’s “Határtalan Napja,” during which the Veronaki Band took the stage.

At the event, lower-grade students of the Ferenc II Rákóczi Secondary School of Mukachevo enjoyed a special cultural experience. To the great delight of the children, the popular performance Gőgös Gúnár Gedeon was presented.

At the beginning of the event, Erzsébet Korolyova, president of the Cultural Association of Hungarians in Transcarpathia (KMKSZ), welcomed the young audience and wished them an enjoyable performance.

The local professional partner of the Déryné Programme was the Transcarpathian Regional Hungarian Drama Theatre, while co-organizers included the Mukachevo local organization of the KMKSZ and the Rákóczi Association.

The primary goal of this large-scale theatrical initiative is to support the cultural life of Hungarian communities abroad through performances and arts education activities.
