At the Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House, András Fényes’s film “Cold smoke” was screened, vividly portraying the daily life of a Hungarian family from Transcarpathia and the hardships caused by the war. The work provides an authentic depiction of circumstances that were unimaginable four years ago, while highlighting the importance of human strength, perseverance, and hope in everyday life.

The film raises numerous questions: how can we preserve our faith and hope, maintain responsibility for one another, and find support in uncertain times? The Munkácsy Mihály Hungarian House expresses its gratitude to director András Fényes and screenwriter Tímea Shrek for offering insight into this unique, personal, and thought-provoking work.
