The Anna Horváth Museum, established in memory of the Berehove sculptor and ceramic artist, preserves part of the artist’s legacy, which was donated to the institution by poet Éva Finta.

**Anna Horváth was born in Berehove on November 5, 1924. She was a self-taught sculptor. From 1958, her works were exhibited at district, regional, then republican and all-Union levels. In 1973, she won second place at the National Medal Arts Exhibition in Moscow. In 1977, she was awarded an honorary diploma by the Soviet Union’s Artists’ Union. She received the Pro Cultura Hungarica Prize in 1991 and the Excellence Award of the Hungarian Intellectuals’ Community in Transcarpathia in 1995. From 1996, she was recognized as an Honored Artist of Ukraine, and in 1997 Berehove awarded her the Pro Urbe Prize.
Her art was rooted in the traditions of Transcarpathian and Hungarian folk art. During her lifetime, she created works in a variety of styles.**

The Anna Horváth Museum is located in the heart of the town on the banks of the Verke River, within the courtyard of the Berehove Holy Cross Roman Catholic Parish Church.
